If you're not comfortable on the treadmill or exercise bicycle, you'll never use it.

Set up your home gym so it's your sacred space. Put up motivational quotes on the wall, hang pictures that inspire you. Put a few plants in there and let some natural sunlight in. Make it a place you want to work out in, a place where you want to go to take care of yourself.

A home gym is great, but only if you have the motivation to use it. Training in a home gym has to be scheduled just like (an) appointment. It's got to be part of your schedule and become part of your lifestyle.

Instead of just getting another piece of (exercise) equipment, it's better to get the knowledge. Getting the know-how and getting motivated for an individualized fitness program is better than getting more equipment that'll only gather dust.

Athletes have these same challenges.
