We needed a win and the coaches told me to wrestle smart and get it done. This was my last year and I'm glad we were able to end it on a great note. Merrill is a tough team and we knew there would be some dog fights, but we got it done.

I look at it that each year is a different year. Different teams are better, and every year someone comes up with a good team.

I just had it in my mind that I was going to win, no ifs, ands or buts. And after watching our little guys tonight, I wanted to finish strong for us.

He was strong and really athletic. It was a tough match, but it was a big thing for me just to be down here. A lot of guys would have liked to have been out there in the finals tonight.
