After 2 1/2 years of testing, the foam shouldn't have come off. They should have done something to get that foam to stick. I would have thought after 2 1/2 years it would have been solved.

The one thing that can cause an engine like that to have a problem is fuel contamination. It could be water. It could be any number of things.

I give the pilot four stars and a medal for getting that thing down on the runway in the first place. I consider that guy to be a masterful pilot; whether you practice on a simulator or not, that's just experience.

When you get the radar beam close to the ground, you just see snow, you don't see individual targets. All of the radar was basically designed to look at aircraft in the air. They never really thought that much about ground tracking.
