"Lee Michael Dixon" is a retired English professional Association football/footballer who played as a Defender (football)/right-back for Arsenal F.C./Arsenal, Burnley F.C./Burnley, Bury F.C./Bury, Chester City F.C./Chester City and Stoke City F.C./Stoke City as well as the England national football team/England national team.

A childhood Manchester City F.C./Manchester City fan, Dixon began his footballing career as a youth at Burnley F.C./Burnley, making his professional debut for them in 1982. From there he played for Chester City F.C./Chester City and Bury F.C./Bury before joining Stoke City F.C./Stoke City in 1986 for a fee of £50,000. He instantly impressed at Stoke and forged a fine defensive partnership with Steve Bould. The pair's potential and performances attracted the attention of Arsenal F.C./Arsenal and in January 1988 they both joined the "Gunners" for a combined fee of £765,000.

It was the one big positive from last season that two good young midfield players emerged to maybe take over from Patrick. For the last two seasons I think Patrick dipped below his own standards.
