I thought our league was very tough and did a great job of preparing us for this. I kept telling our guys to, 'Play your best basketball in February and March.' I think we're doing that. We're playing very well right now.

We didn't make all the free throws, but we made enough for the win.

I've got to know him a little. He's come to our (summer) camp the past couple years, and has always been real gracious to help out and never ask for a thing. In fact, one year he got upset because I hadn't called.

Even when you're not shooting the ball well, it's a sign of a good team ... that we found a way to win.

We don't want to be caught up with just being there. We're going there to win a state championship. That's our No. 1 goal.

We showed a lot of guts. Our rebounding and hustle plays got us back in the game, not our offense.

We're doing some good things defensively, so I'm proud of that.

We knew he was their big gun, and we needed to shut him down.

We felt for two or three possessions, we wanted to pull them out of the zone. We thought we'd try that. We just weren't as consistent as we normally are.
