Schools have to start setting up for this now because they have to work on their schedules. A lot of teams have to work around their conference schedules. If we can go Region 7 against Region 8, it would say a lot about the teams in South Jersey.
Each match was tough. That's what happens when you have two rivals go at it. Most of these kids know each other, live in the same neighborhoods, so it adds to things.
Maybe next year we can improve on this by increasing the field from eight to 12. We would like to create some rivalries between Region 7 and Region 8.
Let's just say I was not a big fan of that decision.
(The wrestlers) came out of this feeling positive. Sometimes we've struggled, but coming out of this allows the kids to have the momentum to go into the heart of our season.
Unfortunately, accidents like that happen in wrestling. Sometimes the circle just isn't big enough for the wrestlers. I was looking forward to seeing that match, too.
The tournament was a huge success on both ends. There were no negatives and it was put together very well.
Every time you wrestle a team like Buena you get a team that's prepared. They will give you a tough match every time, and that's exactly what they did tonight.
The (final) score doesn't indicate how much mat wrestling took place tonight. St. Joe's kept everything close. There were some really tight matches.
