Wow, we barely got by a team that wasn't ready for us. Our first and fourth quarters were really good, but the second was average and our third quarter was the worst of the weekend.
Arizona played very well tonight. They wanted to win and played good hard-nosed lacrosse.
We just need to take a deep breath and work on the little things that may be wrong.
My concern is that we are not doing our job. If we were getting paid for what we do, we would all be fired, myself included. We just have to understand our assignments and go out and do it.
We took a step in the right direction. I have to give a lot of credit to Utah State. That's the best team I've ever seen from them.
We need to avoid doing the same mistakes over and over. We can play with a little more intensity. There's no reason why we should give a team any mental or physical edge. We have got to work hard and want it for 60 minutes.
In Florida we are going to see a team with a lot of talent. We need to be more aggressive, more intense and take more pride in the way we play.
We're making good progress, but we have a ways to go. We are making fewer mistakes, the guys are really hustling and we are getting more confidence.
Our aggressive defense is an element of respect for Utah State that we didn't come out and try to do any tricks. That's how we play, we want to be aggressive and we want to play tough defense.
