Bad calls are bad calls, and there's nothing you can do about that. When a ref makes a horrible call, you cannot change the way you play.

We just need to get our legs back under us. It was impressive if we made two straight passes in a row.

Instead of going out there and playing UMSL, we went out there and were playing against the refs. We were afraid to put any kind of pressure on the puck, put any kind of contact on an UMSL player or anything. It basically caused us to play the complete opposite game we like to play.

In all honesty, for a school full of extremely smart people, we made some really stupid decisions [in the Wash. U. game]. It's really amazing. It happens. You're going to have mental errors, and that's just where you have to be tougher.

I'm not making excuses for the way we played or anything, but the officiating in that game was suspect. It was quite possibly the worst officiated game I have ever been a part of. I think that's more frustrating than anything.
