The Supreme Court's decision should not be construed as an endorsement of assisted suicide, but a state's rights issue.
It's much easier to give somebody a poison pill than actually treat someone and provide them services in the community that they need to live and die.
The question is: Are we really talking as a society that we want to support suicide for anyone? Because this is a societal question. Are we saying suicide is okay for some people but not other people?
