I love getting them to open up and talk about the abuse. I also enjoy working with the team.

My main priority is to make the child feel safe and help them feel that this is a safe place to speak about what happened. In doing that, it helps the child offer more details to what may have occurred. I want to be able to get as many details about what happened from that child.

He is excited about it. The thing that drew him to it the most was that it was closer to home. He wanted to be where we would be able to come and see his games.

I have been the forensic interviewer for about a year and a half, and my job is to interview the child that is brought to the advocacy center, or the Gingerbread House.
