"Ted Dent" (born November 5, 1969) is a Canada/Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He is currently an American Hockey League head coach for the Rockford IceHogs.

Prior to turning professional, Dent attended St. Lawrence University where he played four seasons with the St. Lawrence Saints men's ice hockey team.

It was our third game in three days and I wasn't sure if we'd have our legs, but the guys worked hard and seemed to have more energy than in the other games this weekend. We're playing for our lives right now, and every point counts. We're going to have to develop a little more consistency if we're going to make a real push (for the playoffs).

The guys stepped up and played a pretty good game tonight, but we just didn't get any bounces come our way. I'm happy with the effort but not the outcome.

Jani played well, the way we hoped he would when he picked him up. He may be here a week, or a month — we don't know. But I know he hasn't played a lot this season, so he'll get a chance to get in a lot of work while he's here.

Wheeling is a good hockey team but they seem to rub it in. I don't think our guys appreciate it.

All we ask of Chris is to give us a chance to win, and he did that tonight. We just couldn't get that third goal, and we hit the post three times.

We earned a point and gave ourselves a chance for two, and that's all I can ask. Florida is one of the top teams in the league, and if we can play as well as we did against them we should be able to play as well against most teams. I was really pleased with our effort in the third period and in overtime.
