Coming in, Coach told me to get in all their guards' pockets. He said don't back off and stay in their faces. That's what we did, and we got this win. Our defense is our key, and we know that. If we don't play good defense, we don't win.

They weren't playing help defense on me, so when we rotated, I was getting open. We usually jump on an opponent fast and we were able to do that.

This game was big for us. UTEP came in here undefeated (in C-USA play), and we wanted to prove a point. We're trying to get into the NCAA Tournament, so every game counts.

I'm a great defensive player ? I'm just underrated. I think I can play defense on any good guard. If coach gives me any guard to lock up, I think I can do the job.
