We just took it to them and got them in foul trouble. We got some big three's from Jacqueline and some big shots from Sara. We just exploded on offense and were patient.
We are a different team right now. We lost to Notre Dame earlier this season by 21 and we were able to beat them, and now this win. We're learning how to play so well and I can't tell you how much I am proud of these kids right now. I'm just so proud.
In the first half Jacqueline was just on fire and then in second half Jenn did the same thing.
I don't think he gets enough credit for what he does with them. He doesn't have any players that stand out. He always gets the most out of his team.
We just started putting a lot of pressure on the ball (in the fourth quarter). We were down four points going into the second half and the girls came out and picked up the intensity on all levels.
Towards the end they were being double and tripled teamed all the time. They're pretty good at getting out of the traps but you can't shoot when you're being trapped. Newtown played great defense.
That's the great thing about our league; anyone can win on any given night. You never know.
We have confidence right now, a lot of it.
It was electric in there.
