"Matthew Stephen "Matt" Leinart" is a former American football quarterback. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Arizona Cardinals (2006–09), Houston Texans (2010–2011), Oakland Raiders (2012), and Buffalo Bills (2013).

Leinart played college football for the University of Southern California (USC). In 2003, he led the #1 ranked Southern California Trojans football/USC Trojans to the AP national championship by defeating the University of Michigan in the Rose Bowl (USC was not selected to play in the BCS national championship game). In 2004, he won the Heisman Trophy while leading the Trojans to a second consecutive AP national championship as well as the since-vacated BCS national championship.
