Actually, I didn't think about the wins until the beginning of this season. I realized I had 90 and it's not that far away from second place. First was a long-shot anyway.

My mother is German and my dad is Korean. And I'm the second son in the family. Beneath it is my name.

My first year was not a good year. I probably won like four matches. I was thinking it wasn't for me. But my brother convinced me to go out for one more year. I noticed my record was about .500. I was obviously improving, so hey, maybe it was for me.

I was a little superstitious, so it felt good to win on that mat.

Yeah, it is. Real good, actually. First would be a lot better, but second is good.

I would loved to have finished as a state champ, but I'm glad I improved (from fourth to second) and got a chance to walk in the Grand March.

I should be happy but right now it doesn't feel so great. It's a good accomplishment but I know it could have better.

He pretty much worked his stuff and shut me down.

I kind of had it in the back of my mind. It's just another step higher. It doesn't mean that you can't accomplish what you've already done. I finished second in state three years in a row [in junior high]. I knew it would be a little bit harder, but it could be done.
