I majored in hurdle, so I am happy to bring the silver home with my teammates. They did a really good job. I should thank the audience who gave me enormous support tonight.

Of course, I want to win a second gold medal in my own country, ... In order to achieve that, I will have to make the effort. I will not only talk about it, but have my deeds speak for themselves. I will grab whatever chance I get.

The Beijing Olympics will be a good opportunity for the athletes of Asia to show their abilities, ... I don't believe that Asian athletes are inferior to athletes from North America and Europe in the track sprint events. I'm a good example. It's important to wipe away existing stereotypes. I hope Japanese athletes will also make their best efforts.

I had thought the year following the 2004 Olympics would not be so busy. But it turned out to be very busy. I competed in Golden League races and world championships and quite a few domestic races.

Some may be surprised, but I do expect more for Saturday's relay final. It's a team work, and I think it's more exciting.

It was comfortable. I think I will be able to run under 13 seconds again sooner or later but I'm not losing sleep over it or putting pressure on myself.

I knew I would win although I felt tired after the National Games.

I hope to be at the starting line of the finals at Athens and win a medal at Beijing.

To win is the most important. I knew that I could make it, but I didn't expect such a time.
