I came to the pharmaceutical industry for many reasons, and one of the reasons was I wanted to have, hopefully, a larger impact on patients.

Most of our ideas, at some point along the spectrum, will fail. So we're always trying to innovate the way we do what we do: to do the best science possible - because that's non-negotiable - but to do it better, faster and more cost-effectively. So innovation is built into every single thing the discovery scientists do.
