When your power bill is almost half of what your rent is it creates a real problem.
On a local level we certainly will look at the opportunity to weigh in on this one. It is no surprise that rates are going up but this kind of increase is a shock.
I see the same biases surfacing, But to ignore the airport (as a way to reduce cars) doesn't make sense.
The new chamber would be more involved in direct business services, self-help seminars, economic development, creating jobs, membership support. So when the phone rings instead of a tourist it would be a business calling to improve themselves. We wouldn't completely get out of the tourist business.
It's snowing right now. Around here we call them miracle Marches. It's not snow. It's gold.
