We had a chance to clear the zone and we didn't do it, and then it ended up going behind the net, and I turned one way and I looked in front and Ian was there to bury it five-hole.

The difference tonight was Kovalev. He's a great player who can change a game like that with his skills.

We played very good, and when you are up 1-0 halfway through the third period, you expect to get something out of it. That is the way it is, we lost the game and that's that.

We showed a lot of guts and made some desperation plays, we had guys going down to block shots, it was crazy. I stopped the puck with my stick, then it almost hit me and went in, but it stayed out. I was a bit lucky too, I have to admit, but I'll take it.

It was a huge two points for us before the break.

You just want to give your team a chance by not letting in the third one. But I think the whole game, we were very ready mentally and physically to compete against them.

He had plenty of time, and I had my pad down. I figured he would try to lift the puck, so I just lifted my pad a little bit. I was a little bit lucky, but it gave us a chance to win.

We need more jump and start believing we can do it. They played a great second period and it was very tiring for us.

We're not happy with the point, but we'll take it.
