It is great because now Ridgefield will get the recognition. Ridgefield has had some great wrestlers and some that have placed at New England's. To get the gold means that we get to join the elite group of wrestlers.

I had a little extra fire. I lost both times in the finals my freshman and sophomore years so I was kind of hungry to finally win one.

Danbury is one of the best in New England and I like a lot of the Danbury kids but you know when you go out there that you're going to have a tough match and I was just glad I could get it done.
