We were testing too close to an event. We didn't have time to react once we got the cars back to the shop to make changes of any substance.

Obviously, we're parked right next to each other in the garage.

Does it matter? Once we get to Loudon (N.H.) it basically starts over at zero . So I'm really not concerned about points. As long as we stay in the top 10, that's all we need.

(Stewart and his team) are in a good spot right now, very similar to where we've been all year.

We stuck to our game plan, even when it was painful at times. We wanted to go test, we just knew it wasn't time to start that just yet.

It will by the time we're done today.

Robbie has been a huge asset to me more so than anything else with the race car. He's a very calming individual and he has a good sense about him and he has been through a championship chase.

It's very cool and there is a lot of tradition here and I love to come here. I really like Darlington and Charlotte and tracks like that better, but I'd really love to win at Indianapolis. I'd like to win and go through all the stuff of kissing the bricks [at the finish line] and all that stuff and roll on.

His bell has definitely been rung. That was a pretty hard hit that he took out there.
