With each race, a different girl steps up and shows the team that they have the ability to post a (good) finish when they are called upon. I am very confident with the team I have chosen to race in the state finals.

She has been improving all season long and really peaked at just the right time.

I was not surprised with that. The girls are very consistent. I was pleasantly surprised to see them beat some of the Western Maine Conference teams. That conference is typically a little stronger than ours. It can be a bit intimidating training next to some of these teams. To beat them is a real boost to the program and to their morale. I was very pleased with the result.

I was so happy for him. He has worked so hard for four years and was very, very solid right when it counted the most for him. He really came through for himself and for his team.

I am very proud of the way the boys overcame their past, and the way that the younger girls stepped up and helped out the team.

I think that the boys are about to hit their peak. They have skied better and better each week despite the loss of two crucial members of the team. They are in good shape going into the last weeks before the state finals.

Despite some falls, not a single one of them gave up. Several parents and course officials complimented me on the heart of my team. That meant more to me than any championship. They just love skiing. I?m very proud that they had the drive and the pride to finish, no matter what.
