I'm hoping it helped a lot. He came out and executed the rest of the way. That was big for us. He stepped up and made big plays when we needed to.

To me it was special to watch Ben and Allan play their last high school game. Me and Allan had some good jarring back and forth to each other. That made it a competitive.

I got lucky and got a glove on it and kept it in the infield. I thought I should've made the play and threw him out at first, but it got a little hop and came up on me. It all ended up good.

I just told him to calm down and relax. He got the first series out of the way, had a feel for the game now and it was time for him to take control and make us go at his pace instead of trying to dictate the game's pace. It was his pace.

They were really clinging hard to Ben. Ben does a good job distributing the ball, and we got the shots to fall.
