We don't have to worry about all the other teams.
I didn't want to push myself too hard. I didn't want to pull a groin. I've done nothing for 10 days. I think I did just what was necessary, what I needed to do. On the ice, keep it simple.
It would have been nice to have those leads a little bit longer. But every time we scored, in the second or third shift, they'd score again. It would have been nice to get a two-goal advantage.
They told me I needed some ice time because I hadn't played a lot on Long Island. I agree. I don't want to sit there and be a seventh or eighth defenseman.
I don't know what to say. We just blew it big-time. They got one, and they just kept going. We couldn't create anything.
It seems we can't play 60 minutes. We have good periods, but we lack the effort.
We knew what was coming. Last Friday in the regular season out here, they were a little aggressive. They came after us. Now, we were more prepared for what was coming.
