He's been a great tribute to East Marshall wrestling from the little kids on up to the high school. He's a leader and kids look up to him. Shaking his hand for the last time brings a few tears to your eyes.

We didn't really get after it like I was expecting. Neither one of them wanted to do anything in the beginning. It just came down to little spurts of action for Pugh to get a couple points on the board.

Those guys are young and that showed.

He's stronger than he looks. When he gets that front butcher on, he's had it on me a few times and it's tight.

Placing fourth as a freshman and fourth as a sophomore and now second as a junior, you're climbing. Hopefully he's gotten a little taste of this and has a desire to get back.

Brooks is going to be working hard all week. If they meet down the line, I have confidence in Brooks winning that one.

It's a learning experience. This is a baby step for them. Next year we're going to expect a lot of them.
