"Todd Anthony Greene" is a former Major League Baseball catcher. In an 11 year career, he played for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim/Anaheim Angels (-), Toronto Blue Jays (2000), New York Yankees, Texas Rangers (baseball)/Texas Rangers (-), Colorado Rockies (-), and San Francisco Giants. He batted and threw right-handed.

Greene was born in Augusta, Georgia, and attended Evans High School (Georgia)/Evans High School in Evans, GA and went on to attend Georgia Southern University. While playing for the Eagles, he was named the A-Sun Baseball Player of the Year/TAAC Player of the Year in 1990.

On October 30, 2001, in Game 3 of the 2001 World Series, he caught the first pitch thrown by President George W. Bush in only the second instance of a sitting President throwing the first pitch of the World Series.

On May 4, 2006, in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers, Greene was seriously injured in a home-plate collision with Brewers' first baseman Prince Fielder. While Greene continued to play for the rest of the season, his shoulder had suffered serious structural damage. During spring training the next season, while with the San Diego Padres, Greene tore two muscles in his weakened rotator cuff while attempting a throw to second base. He never returned to the majors following the injury.

You never know. I've been released on the last day of camp three times when I was on the roster. I've never taken anything for granted since the first day I put this uniform on. I guess I needed to prove to them that some of the reports about my defense were not true.

You can't build a team for just your home ballpark. You have to be able win wherever you play.

It's an honor to have a guy who's got [four] Gold Gloves on his shelf, and I look forward to learning everything I can from him.

I wouldn't call it being a spoiler. I think they're still going to clinch the division, regardless. It just might put it off a night or two longer.

My dad's having some trouble, but he was able to be here. The last time he saw me play [in person] was when we were here last year.

They don't play old. It's not how old you are, it's how old you play.

I like to call it 'active hair loss' instead of 'passive hair loss.
