We wanted to control the tempo of the game and we did not do a very good job of that. Then, as it always happens with Lawrence, they're just so intense with 10 or 11 guys. They keep coming at you.

We wanted to win two of the three games we were playing this week, and we'd have had a better chance of doing that by forfeiting to Grinnell. We wasted two days not practicing Knox basketball, so I made the decision yesterday that when this game was over, we were going to get out there and run our offense.

I've never seen one and two be that much better than the rest of the league. The Midwest Conference has a lot to be proud of with these two teams, though.
