He obviously was the offensive leader of the team. He had a lot of speed and he was strong in the middle. He was one of the better two-way players around.

He was a very sound defensive type of individual. We would play a pinch defensively and he picked up on it real good.

It was an absolute pleasure watching him play. He has a tremendous future ahead of him. He is a very sound player both ways. His skills are probably better of any boys in the area.

All the practices were very intense, very upbeat. The first couple nights it looked like somebody had shot them with a gun. They were laying on the ice, throwing up and everything. It took us three or four weeks to get by that and you can see the results. It's a different team.
