Goalkeeper is a specialized position, and goalkeepers need the specific training that they can get from Mike. To have somebody that can take the goalkeepers aside and give them some goalkeeper workouts, so to speak, is very important to their development and our game's development. The way it stands now, having Danny and Drew spending some time with Mike each and every day is a benefit to them.

I think they did well. I thought they came out and they made some freshman mistakes early but I think they battled through it and came through, obviously, with Michael Klein getting the goal. But I thought all of them, for their first game at the college level, did OK. They'll continue to improve.

You have to like the fact that we got the shutout because in the first half, it was a bit choppy. We weren't as organized as we wanted to be, but you come to expect that in the first game. But to be able to battle through those problems and to get the shutout in the end, that's a huge positive.

He was a very passionate kid, and he was always one of our fittest players. And so it certainly doesn't surprise me he is pursuing playing professionally.
