"Robert Huth" is a German professional Association football/footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Centre back/centre back for Leicester City F.C./Leicester City on loan from Stoke City F.C./Stoke City.

Huth was signed for Chelsea F.C./Chelsea from the youth system of German club 1. FC Union Berlin/Union Berlin in 2001 by then Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri. Huth struggled to establish himself in the Chelsea first team and with the likes of John Terry, William Gallas, and Ricardo Carvalho ahead of him in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge (stadium)/Stamford Bridge and so he joined Middlesbrough F.C./Middlesbrough in August 2006 for a fee of £6 million. He spent three years at the Riverside Stadium/Riverside and after the club were relegated in 2009, Huth signed for Stoke City F.C./Stoke City for a then club record fee £5 million. After a successful 2010–11 Stoke City F.C. season/2010–11 season for Huth which saw him play in the 2011 FA Cup Final/FA Cup Final, he was named as Stoke's Stoke City F.C. Player of the Year/player of the year.

Huth was also a Germany national football team/German international, earning 19 caps and scoring 2 goals between 2004 and 2009. He was part of the German squad which came third at the 2006 FIFA World Cup on home soil.
