He galloped out in 12 and change, ... Couldn't have gone much better.

There were no problems. It was a first step in what is a long way to go, ... He did a half-mile in about 55 [seconds]. He got a little tired, but looks a lot better than he was in July. He's not perfect, but definitely moving in the right direction.

We would have loved to have won, but all in all he had a good effort. He ran a good race, and I think he will get stronger as we go along. We were all pleased, and it looks like he came out of the race fine. He was full of himself after the race, and that's a good sign.

Ramon did have to check him on that first turn, but Don't Get Mad ran a very good race.
