Flight attendants are trained to evacuate within 90 seconds -- all passengers off. It's been tested, it's been drilled. Obviously something went right with this crew.

We were left with no choice. This doesn't give our membership much time to prepare. It's all happening very fast. What else can we say but this is a horrible time and membership should prepare their finances.

We recognize it's painful and devastating to our members, and couldn't come at a more worse time, however we do not want our future in the hands of the bankruptcy court.

We're always excited at the prospect of somebody new coming in -- a 'white knight' or somebody who might take a different approach with regard to labor -- anybody that's possibly going to take a less adversarial approach. We're always optimistic. But again, we're not going to get overly excited because we'll just wait and see how it all plays out.

We will continue to bargain. But we now have our work cut out for us. But, at least we now know what we're dealing with.

We think it's highly inappropriate that they would announce a raid at this time that we are going through contract negotiations.
