"Nick Nurse" is an American basketball Coach (basketball)/coach who is currently an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors.

Nurse spent 12 seasons coaching in Europe, mostly in the British Basketball League (BBL). He won the BBL Coach of the Year Award in 1999–2000 British Basketball League season/1999–00 and 2003–04 British Basketball League season/2003–04. In 2007, he accepted the head coaching job for the Energy, who were preparing for their first season in the NBA D-League. The Energy won division titles under Nurse in the 2008–09 and 2009–10 seasons. After three seasons with the team, Nurse agreed to join the coaching staff of the Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball/Iowa State Cyclones as an associate head coach in April 2010. Shortly afterward, however, Cyclones head coach Greg McDermott became the head coach at Creighton Bluejays men's basketball/Creighton, and Nurse went back to his former position with the Energy. In the 2010–11 NBA D-League season, Nurse received the Dennis Johnson Coach of the Year award after helping Iowa achieve the best record in the league (37–13).

Dennis could go out there and collect six or seven rebounds like he did tonight, not the 17 he managed in his prime. I think the off-court stuff would be a problem. Sustaining his focus would be difficult.

This will be seen as a publicity stunt and, yes, we want to attract people who might not ordinarily be basketball fans. But the main reason for doing this is to give basketball fans the chance to see one of the all-time great players playing here in the BBL.

I wish he'd hit that free throw, because that would have been perfect.

There is a real chance this could happen depending on when he is evicted from CBB.
