The rivalry helps, I think, because we won't have to worry about getting ready to play. And I'm sure Munster will be ready to play. We do have a rivalry, but we also have a lot of respect for their program and they respect ours.
Katie Kane has really played well for us in all areas of her game. She has played so much better on offense, defense and in her rebounding.
We played a little tentatively in the first half. In the second half, I thought we were able to take advantage of a few things, but (ECC) came out and played hard on their Senior Night.
We spent a lot of time over the holidays working on our defense and our positioning. Defense is really a mindset, and positioning is being mentally ready. Those were the areas we concentrated on, and I think we showed a lot of improvement tonight.
I'm not sure that this problem is all that widespread. In this business, it's all about following procedures and implementing the correct systems. It's certainly possible that this could happen again. All I'm saying is that it's not something that we've heard much about until now.
We tightened up the passing lanes to try and limit their chances. We wanted to neutralize their athleticism.
I think the kids now are missing what happened at Calumet. And I agree with the six-team sectional. It's bad.
