It always nice to get a win and the competition here was as tough as some of the others too. It's definitely a step in the right direction and it was a lot better than last time out (Webster City Invite); we just need to stay healthy.
The girls ran well as a pack. This is by and far the best girls team I've ever had here. We just need a fifth place runner to fill that gap — it will be a good year if that happens.
Thomas is a really tired kid right now, because he just back from a soccer tournament this weekend and we're trying to work with that right now. We're just battling some nagging injuries and we'll have to work through that.
It's nice to see Roxanne finally get her first win because she's been a good runner for us for four years. These girls are all realizing this philosophy of letting the horses take off and then tagging them later actually works.
