I was concerned when they lost the first set 6-0. I thought poor Amanda, out there for the first time, Miriam's first time on varsity and the first time they played together. But (in the second set) they got going. They started to get a little confident and determined and did their thing.

It went surprisingly well for these teams being in a match together for the first time. Both teams fought hard - we still have more challenge matches to go, so I can't say this is going to be the lineup we're going to go with all season.

Bart played well. He was away last week and he got in at 2 o'clock this morning, so he played well. I thought he played very well.

I didn't anticipate too much from them because they had never played together, not even in practice.

That was a tough one. (Montoursville) just took over the net. When they won the second set (7-5) I think it gave them a boost.
