Information technology has changed the world and now the world is changing IT as concerns about growth, customers and market needs top the business agenda. In a world of increasing competition and customer choice, IT is rising to the challenge of making a tangible difference in the business.

It's not so much that they're expecting miracles [from technology] as much as they're expecting serious contribution and significant results. We see companies that are looking to grow fast coming back to recognizing that there's an investment in technology that they need to make.

This would have been like having a gap in a picture frame. It was a major issue in town. There were talks of lawsuits. Thank goodness it didn't come to that.

The number one business priority this year, as in 2006, is business-process improvement.
