We haven't used it for years, and we were really looking for something to do with it, so this is the perfect solution: pimp it and sell it as an auction item.

I think if we have another hit record on whatever level, people will consider us less of a fluke or a flash in the pan. We have a huge group of fans who don't think that way, and we'll be fine forever, but it would be nice on the national and international level to have more respect than we've had in the last six years or so.

By remembering what it is they loved about one another, reflecting on their own part in the good times and the bad, reframing their problems as part of a larger family system and the anxiety that moves through it, they will be able to reconnect with their family, both blended and extended, without blame or judgment.

Traditional therapy focuses on the individual, looking at our unconscious motivation, etc.. Then there are family-systems theories that focus on the family as a unit, a single organism. 'Codes of Love' integrates both. It's a firm review of the literature and a new blending of very important skills.

A perfect situation for us.

Having Darius in the band is a wonderful luxury. We can run the gamut stylistically, but never stray too far from our sound, because once he starts singing, it is Hootie & the Blowfish.

We want to keep it fresh for the fan base. In order to keep improving, we want to keep bringing in big names. You can't replace an Arnold Palmer. Having those [new] guys is obviously going to bring people out this year that maybe wouldn't have been here in the past.

Coming home this time, in this manner, not only is their past brand new, so are they.

Accepting our heritage, its struggles along with its strengths, allows us to accept and love ourselves.
