I got frustrated because I didn't know what was going on, nobody would say anything to me. I don't like to argue, I just like to know what's going on. I'm too old to play games like that.

When you go through something that traumatic . . . I was the first family member to go to the hospital and just to see her lying there, they were saying she wasn't going to make it. It's been tough just dealing with all that the past couple of weeks and all the stages you go through, the ups and downs, staying all night at the hospital . . .

I lost my focus but unexpected things happen. I wasn't prepared for that situation. I have never dealt with anything like that before.

Things came together at the end. I jumped a season's best so I am happy with that.

He's an excellent guy, we've been working together for about a year and a half now, and it's really been clicking. So we're really trying to push the limits, see how high I can go.

I had just finished . . . great workout, then got the call. It's pretty tough.

She's eating on her own now. They said she might not walk again but she's actually standing up and stuff. She's a warrior, and she's fighting her battle and I'm here fighting mine.

I know he has it in him. He's an amazing runner and an amazing athlete. I would love for our whole team to be like that. To go out with the idea that you are going win and kick ass.

It's just something I wanted to come down here and accomplish. I'm just happy I was able to come down here and secure a win for Canada.
