I'm not so sure how we would respond at first. Personally, that loss (to Stout) took the wind out of me. But then I think we all realized that we had to stay together and move on. We had come too far for that to end our season that way.

We had heard that we were going to make it, but that doesn't mean anything. I was waiting for the call Sunday night to see if we had made it. Thank God it was a good call. We believed that we deserved to get in.

A lot of people asked me what my best basketball memory has been. This has definitely been it. To know where the program was at and to have the opportunity to lead it here meant the world to me. Hopefully we made an impact on the young kids on this team, on the campus and on the community.

They're a good team. Still, we feel we could have played better than we did. We had no room for error and we didn't execute the way we needed to.

Now it's win or go home. If you can't get up for something like this, you don't deserve to play the game. This (earning an at-large bid) will give us a spark and get us playing hard again.
