I urge the whole of the UK to get behind this bid.

The Queen and Royal Family were strong supporters of London's bid and it was a delight to show Her Majesty how the Olympic Park site has continued to develop since winning the bid.

My job now is to put the team together that will be with it right the way through to 2012 and as soon as I have found a new chief executive I will take a step back.

A week's work now is worth four down the collective path. Our plan over the next 18 months will have this in mind.

Our vision is to present to the world, in 2012, the best Games ever, for athletes, for the Olympic family, for spectators.

We should leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of a winning bid.

Sport and the needs of athletes are central to London's plans for the Games, and I know that Jonathan will continue to represent these views energetically.
