He located his fastball very well. When throw (the fastball) consistently, chances are you're going to go a long way in the game.

If you watched us in the last couple of weeks, you'll see that we are not hitting when we are supposed to and we are banged up. It's taken its toll.

We need a right-handed bat to balance our lineup. We've been looking at this for a while. We're going to get a high-energy type guy, a good defensive left fielder that can run and steal bases.

He's ecstatic. He's really looking forward to coming here.

The timing obviously is not good. We're going to have to make do right now. We're going to have to band together as a team and fight through it.

It's good to have him back. I think the guys in the clubhouse and the staff were really glad to see him.

It's still stiff, so we'll see where he's at tomorrow. It's going to be day-to-day.

I'd rather have it come from me than him seeing it or reading it first.

I don't know where this is going to go. We'll know more [today]. ... It's something that might have to be addressed in a hospital.
