We scored some really nice goals, and I was pleased with that. In the final third, we are able to make some things happen and set the early tone, and that was nice.

It is a great opportunity for these young ladies. I mean, how often does this happen? You are in a select group of 50 soccer players and you get to have first-hand experience with Mia?

They have been playing soccer together since they were nine or 10 years old through the [Coral Springs Renegades Soccer Club]. They know each other well, get along really well and read each other really well.

They are as excited as they were three years ago.

That goal was important. It set a nice tone for the game. But we knew the game was far from over.

She has been a tremendous leader on the field. She's always taken charge and has been that way since she was a freshman.
