"Lastings Darnell Milledge" is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows of Nippon Professional Baseball. He was the youngest player in the National League during the 2006 season.

Those guys are the future. I just wanted to go out there and do good. If you can do it, it gives you that much more motivation to play in the big leagues and do well at the big-league level.

It enters my mind a lot. I have a good opportunity to play at the big-league level. But you can't determine the future. Who knows what I'm going to be? You can't put a stamp or a label on what I'm going to be until I actually get there.

The front office is pushing for you to be in the big leagues, but you have to put all that stuff aside. We're living for now and we've got to do this now. You have to work.

It's right there. The door is right there. I can touch it. All I've got to do is walk in.

It's not important for me to just get a taste at the big league level. I want to be there for a long time.
