"Larry Edward Coker" is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach at University of Texas at San Antonio/UTSA, whose UTSA Roadrunners football/Roadrunners football team began play in 2011. From 2001 to 2006, Coker served as the head coach at the University of Miami. His 2001 Miami Hurricanes football team/2001 Miami team was named the consensus College football national championships in NCAA Division I FBS/national champion after an undefeated season that culminated with a victory in the 2002 Rose Bowl/Rose Bowl over 2001 Nebraska Cornhuskers football team/Nebraska. In the process of winning the championship, Coker became the first head coach since 1948 to win the national championship in his first season. (Bennie Oosterbaan from the University of Michigan was the last head coach to accomplish this feat.) Coker was fired by Miami on November 24, 2006 following his sixth loss that season. After a stint as a television analyst for ESPNU, Coker was announced as the head coach for the Roadrunners.

We have some say. Florida State, that's not a normal situation. That was added late in the process. Clemson fell as it fell with the 12th member of the league coming in. We and other teams were caught in a hard spot. It's not anything the league did to punish us.

He's really stepped his game up and developed a lot of confidence, and he's getting a lot of confidence in himself of being able to really contribute and being a marquee player for us.

Again, it's poise and character. We made some plays. When we stopped doing that, that's how Clemson got in the game. When we got back to doing that, it permeates throughout.

A little bit iffy.

He's been more productive. No other reason than that.

I don't know how much effect it has after things get started. Normally, and I use a little Bill Belichick philosophy here, after the game starts, all the hype and the rah-rah and the rhetoric goes out the window and now you play the game.

It's a little bit iffy. Tyrone is still a little sore, still being bothered by the leg. We'll see if he's ready to go today or tomorrow. That will tell us a lot more about this weekend. He's not ready to go, let's put it that way.

If he was hurting, I didn't want to hear it.

We're not a finished product yet by any stretch of the imagination at quarterback. But I think again, if we handle it properly, we can build on it with the players we have.
