These poll numbers are about as bad as it can get for the Republicans. That shows that Sen. Reid has been extremely effective in communicating a message of what's wrong with the Republican leadership we have today.
The Democrats have been talking about the culture of corruption for some time. We don't have all the details yet, but these seem to be serious situations. Nevadans deserve better from their elected officials.
We were confident that we could find a qualified candidate, largely because it's a seat we can win.
It's not insurmountable. Of course Jon Porter is going to have some cash because Republican leaders have recognized he is one of their most vulnerable sitting members of Congress. We could catch up very fast and that is what we intend to do.
Democrats are waiting to see if Porter takes his own advice on this issue.
Boehner has been wined and dined by the nuclear industry, and you can bet he will use his new position to push for nuclear waste to come to Nevada.
