We stay in touch pretty regularly, via e-mail or the phone. He'll send me programs and I'll tell him how I'm feeling. He'll give me paces and whenever we have the opportunity, we'll get together.

The goal was to go out at 1:25, which is a good time, but not an American record or anything. I knew I was in good enough shape to do that. If the course was a little better, I would have tried to pick it up.

We're talking 100 miles a week, which is significant over what I used to do.
