She had really hit a rocket earlier right at the shortstop and this time she hit one deep in the hole that the shortstop couldn't get to. Overall, everyone played well. We had 11 hits, several of the infield variety which showed a lot of hustle. They were timely hits.

Our hitting was good. We put the ball in play and hit the ball hard. It had been awhile since we swept a team. We are hoping to finish strong in the Apollo and pick ourselves up a little bit.

She's been a varsity starter at least part-time since her freshman year. She's a smart player and a real tough competitor. I think she's added a pitch. Now she's got more to work with.
