The medium itself is so expressive and so ancient and each person has their own style they bring to it.

One of the really special things about the Potters Guild is that we are all very solitary artists. But when we have problems finding a new glaze or technique, we share it with each other. It's kind of like being in a university or school setting. The club certainly serves a social and educational function. We have a wonderful energy that a solitary potter often loses and finds it hard to keep.

It is a wide range of movies that will be shown, classics from the early part of the 1900s to the most contemporary animations from our students at ACCAD (the Advanced Computer Center for the Arts and Design).

It is our hope that students, faculty and people from the Columbus community will feel free to wander in and see all or part of a movie. In addition, several classes have been scheduled to watch a couple of the movies and all who attend can benefit from the remarks from expert faculty who will be giving an overview of several of the works.

It means a rough two and two-thirds months.

During spring break we take a family trip, but this year they're on their own.

Sergio Soave is a gifted administrator and accomplished artist and we are fortunate that he will be leading our highly acclaimed Department of Art.

I want to avoid last summer.
