We don't want to stop the Yankees from developing their stadium, we just do not want them to do it on the public parks.
We can see no justification for taking away public parkland from the poorest congressional district to hand it over to the richest sports franchise in the country.
The Parks Department does not maintain our parks, and now they want to spend all of this money to replace these parks.
The Yankees have been here for 82 years already and we haven't seen any benefits. It's a land grab in the poorest congressional district in the country for the richest sports franchise.
